AviClear
Laser in Medicine is excited to introduce South Australia's first AviClear device.
AviClear harnesses the power of laser energy to target acne at its source. Using a 1726 nm wavelength, this treatment selectively targets and regulates the sebaceous glands, addressing the root cause of acne—sebum overproduction.

Common questions
How many treatments will I need?
The AviClear treatment protocols recommend three, 30-minute treatment sessions spaced one month apart to achieve optimal results.
When will I see results?
The timing of visible improvements varies by patient. In a clinical study of 104 patients who received three AviClear treatments, 80% saw at least half of their acne resolved three months after the final treatment. This increased to 87% at six months and 92% at twelve months.
Who is a good candidate for AviClear?
AviClear is suitable for adolescents and adults with mild, moderate, or severe acne, particularly for those who have been resistant to traditional treatments. However, AviClear is not a preventive treatment for acne.
What's the process of getting AviClear?
All patients considering AviClear are welcome to book a consultation with Dr Darren or our Registered Nurse Christine to ensure the treatment is suitable for them.
Is AviClear used in conjunction with other treatments?
Yes, we often combine AviClear with Laser Genesis to reduce skin inflammation and address post-inflammatory marks from acne breakouts.
