Preparing for your first laser appointment 

We are committed to providing the very best care throughout your laser treatments.

While we provide all pre-treatment information before your appointment, we understand it can be a lot of information to remember. Therefore, we have created the following key points to be aware of before your laser appointment.

Please let us know

  • If you have had any injectable treatments in the past 3 months
  • If you have undertaken cosmetic tattooing of the brows, eyes or lips
  • If you have recently had any changes to your health including medications
  • If you are expecting or breastfeeding
  • Active cold sores
  • Had other advanced skin treatments within the last 4 weeks

We cannot treat you if

  • You are wearing fake tan or have applied in the past 2 weeks (this includes spray tans and at home variations).
  • If you are unwell or taking antibiotics that we are not aware of.
  • Have had any other cosmetic procedures in the past 2 weeks. This includes skin needling, chemical peels, laser hair removal, IPL, microdermabrasion etc.
  • Have had any other medical procedure in the past 2 weeks that was not pre-approved before treatment.
  • Have had dental work 4 weeks either side of leg vein treatments.
  • Have had any biopsy, excision, skin flap procedures in the past 2-4 weeks.
  • If you've recently returned from or are planning a trip to a sunny destination where you're likely to tan.
  • You are someone who does not wear or have not used appropriate sun protection (SPF50+).

We do recommend

  • Planning treatment downtime around events
  • Avoid sun exposure 4 weeks before your laser appointment
  • No fish oil, skin exfoliation or retinol 7 days prior
  • If you are having laser on the face, avoid makeup
  • Following your post-treatment guidelines
