Removal in half the time compared to traditional lasers
Safe environment that can manage complications
Less discomfort and reduced recovery

It’s important to note that few clinics can promptly address complications from laser tattoo removal once they arise. We often see patients who have experienced issues after visiting non-medical clinics for tattoo removal, only to find those clinics lack established protocols for managing complications. Choose experienced professionals and state-of-the-art technology for safe and effective tattoo removal.

Common questions

What happens in my tattoo removal appointment?

During your tattoo removal treatment, your nurse will re-explain the process, prepare the area, and take clinical photographs. The tattoo is then gridded for treatment, and eye shields are placed to protect your eyes from the laser light. Your nurse will then trace over the tattoo, pulsing laser energy to break up the colour. This can feel quite hot, so a Zimmer cooler is used to enhance comfort. After treatment, the tattoo will have a “whitening effect” which will fade over the next few hours.

How many tattoo removal treatments will I need?

Treatments are spaced 8 to 12 weeks apart to allow the body to remove pigment. Multiple sessions are needed to fade the tattoo, with amateur tattoos generally requiring 6-8 sessions and professional tattoos needing 10-12. Some dense tattoos may require more treatments or alternative techniques.

How long does tattoo removal take?

Small tattoos take less than 30 minutes, while larger ones may take up to an hour per session.

When laser removal is not enough?

Other treatment options would include simple excision, excision and skin grafting and excision following tissue expansion.
