DR DARREN NG

Medical Director, Cosmetic Physician and Phlebologist

Darren graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Adelaide in 2008. Initially, he worked as a general practitioner and played professional basketball for the Adelaide 36ers. After retiring from basketball, he pursued vein management, completing a Fellowship with the Australasian College of Phlebology and receiving extensive training from renowned phlebologist Dr. Anne Padbury. His passion for cosmetic treatments drove him to further train in lasers and injectables, enabling him to offer comprehensive treatments to his patients.

We offer comprehensive treatments for skin, vein, and cosmetic concerns from our state-of-the-art facility in North Adelaide. Since its establishment, Lasers in Medicine has focused on medical excellence, with a team comprised solely of doctors and nurses to ensure the highest quality clinical care.

Education is central to our mission with our founder Dr. Padbury mentoring emerging phlebologists in advanced vein techniques. Her protégé, Dr. Darren Ng, has since taken over the clinic, expanding its offerings to include dermatology, cosmetic injectables, and the latest in skin and laser rejuvenation with SkinPen and AviClear.

The Team

DR BRITTANY WONG

Dermatologist and Cosmetic Physician
Dr Brittany Wong is passionate about skin health, with a focus on barrier repair, acne, rosacea, and pigmentation. She emphasises optimal skin care for all ages, including skin cancer prevention and management. Dr. Wong values education and open dialogue, ensuring patients are active in their care. She earned her medical degree from the University of Queensland in 2012 and trained with The Australasian College of Dermatologists. Dr Wong has experience across major Australian hospitals and is a published author and presenter at conferences. She is a fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and a member of relevant professional societies.

DR ANNE PADBURY

Cosmetic Physician and Phlebologist
Dr. Anne has been treating patients since the 1980s, starting with GP training. Eleven years later, she received advanced laser training in London with Dr. Neil Walker. Returning to Australia, she founded Lasers in Medicine in 1994 and pursued further training in phlebology in 1995. In 2012, her interest in skin rejuvenation grew, allowing her to offer comprehensive skin and vein care to her patients. For the past 20 years, she has guided her patients through a warm and supportive cosmetic, skin, and vein care journey.

CHRISTINE

Registered Nurse
Christine is passionate about skin health and aesthetic treatments. With a dream to deliver top-quality clinical care, she completed her Graduate Diploma in Cosmetic Nursing through the Australasian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science (AACDS). She is dedicated to age management and addressing stubborn skin conditions like pigmentation and rosacea. Her passion for injectables revolves around making them undetectable, ensuring results that are harmonious with one’s natural appearance.

TASHA

Registered Nurse
Tasha, our newest addition to the Lasers in Medicine team, is a Registered Nurse with a deep passion for skincare, skin health, and aesthetics. She specialises in laser treatments and cosmetic consultations, blending her clinical expertise with a love for enhancing skin vitality. Tasha's warm, attentive approach ensures that every patient feels confident and well-cared for, while her commitment to aesthetics helps deliver results.

MICHELLE

Registered Nurse
Michelle is a Registered Nurse with over 15 years of experience in cosmetic treatments. Her expertise in cosmetic consultations, laser therapies, and skin treatments is well-regarded. Her friendly and knowledgeable approach, paired with her passion for detail and artistic eye, ensures that each patient receives natural enhancements that empower their natural beauty. She’s dedicated to her craft, and her friendly nature and in-depth knowledge make her a trusted expert in cosmetic treatments.

SIMONE

Registered Nurse
Simone has been a nurse for over 15 years, beginning her career in Paediatric Emergency at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. She joined the Lasers in Medicine team in 2019 and is passionate about age management and rejuvenation. She designs skincare and treatment plans that holistically restore vitality to the skin. She performs treatments such as Laser Genesis, EMFACE, Picosecond Laser (Enlighten III), FRAXEL, Ultraformer, and chemical peels to strengthen and regenerate the skin to optimal health every Wednesday.

KIRSTEN

Practice Manager
Kirsten is the dedicated Practice Manager at Lasers in Medicine, ensuring the clinic runs smoothly and efficiently. Her warm and positive attitude creates a welcoming environment for both staff and patients alike. She takes extra steps to ensure that patients are well-informed and comfortable throughout their entire experience. Kirsten oversees each treatment process, ensuring that everything is carefully coordinated to meet individual needs. She also ensures the clinic offers the right skincare products and take-home items to support lasting results, helping patients feel confident in their care and treatment outcomes.

JANNAH

Patient Care Coordinator
Jannah is our friendly and well-organised patient liaison. She greets each patient warmly and ensures their appointments are scheduled and ready. Her knowledge of Laser in Medicine treatments makes her a valuable resource for questions. Jannah is dedicated to supporting both patients and the team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Sonographer
With over 20 years of experience in the sonography field, Dave has established himself as a dedicated professional specialising in vascular imaging, particularly in the assessment and treatment of varicose veins. His expertise in ultrasound technology, combined with a compassionate approach to patient care, has made him a trusted figure among colleagues and patients alike. Dave is passionate about using his skills to improve patients' quality of life and continuously seeks opportunities for professional development to stay at the forefront of advancements in his field.
